📢 Dear Mercedes ISD Families,

Please be advised that there will be no school for MISD students on Friday, November 21, 2025 due to a scheduled Professional Learning Day for staff.

In addition, Thanksgiving Break will take place from Monday, November 24 through Friday, November 28, 2025. All schools and administrative offices will be closed. Classes will resume at their normal time on Monday, December 1, 2025. MISD staff wishes you and your family a safe and enjoyable holiday!

Les informamos que no habrá clases para los estudiantes de MISD el viernes, 21 de noviembre de 2025, debido a un Día de Desarrollo Profesional para el personal.

Además, las Vacaciones de Acción de Gracias serán del lunes, 24 de noviembre al viernes, 28 de noviembre de 2025. Todas las escuelas y oficinas administrativas permanecerán cerradas durante este periodo. Las clases se reanudarán en su horario habitual el lunes, 1 de diciembre de 2025. After a year of dedication and hard work, 160 talented 7th and 8th grade band and orchestra students from Sgt. Manuel Chacon Middle School and Sgt. William G. Harrell Middle Schools recently spent the day at Six Flags, building memories, friendships, and team spirit along the way! From rehearsals to performances, and now a little well-earned bonding time between the schools, we’re #MISDproud of our students, directors, and entire team! 🐾🎶
