📢📅 Attention Mercedes ISD parents/guardians, MISD will host two parent/stakeholder meetings to discuss and gain input on the Federal Title programs (Title I, II, III, and IV) plans for the 2024-2025 school year. The virtual meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. and the in-person meeting will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 4:30 p.m. at the MISD Central Office Board Room, 206 W. 6th St. Your presence and feedback is key, and we hope to see you there. A big round of applause to the Mercedes ISD 2023-2024 Teachers of the Year! 👏🍎 ✨ These exceptional educators inspire students and colleagues alike and were recognized by Acting Superintendent Jeanne Venecia, school board members, district directors and campus principals at the annual Teacher of the Year Banquet held last week. The Elementary Teacher of the Year and Secondary Teacher of the Year were also announced during the banquet and will now represent Mercedes ISD at the regional level. Congratulations to Elda Torres from Zachary Taylor Elementary School and Adriana Gonzalez from Mercedes High School! Mercedes student musicians, along with their dedicated teachers, recently joined flute players from across the region for the first rehearsal of the National Flute Association RGV Fiesta Flute Choir. 🎶🌟 These flautists have secured a spot for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform with a choir of this size at the 2024 National Flute Association Convention in San Antonio this August. Bravo to our Mighty Tiger flute players for proudly representing our district and the entire RGV! We are #MISDproud! 🎶🐅
