Mercedes ISD families: A reminder that there will be no classes on Monday, May 26, 2025 in observance of Memorial Day. All schools and administrative offices will be closed. Big congratulations to Isabela Martinez! She has been selected as a Texas Leadership Scholar, one of only 250 students chosen from over 2,100 applicants statewide! Isabela earned this prestigious honor at both Lamar University and Texas A&M University-Kingsville. The Texas Leadership Scholars Program provides a full scholarship covering tuition, housing, and fees — an incredible achievement! Isabela has chosen to attend Texas A&M University-Kingsville, where she will pursue a degree in Communication and Science Disorders. We are so proud of her and can't wait to see all she accomplishes! Isabela Martinez has also been selected as one of only 100 students to receive the prestigious Texas A&M University Centennial Scholarship!
